Special Events

A gala Concert of original compositions and arrangements by Maestro Gregory A. Smirnov was performed by Slavyanka, the Bay Area’s own internationally acclaimed Men’s Russian Chorus and soloists Olga Vasiliev, Donna Stoering, Vladimir Licina, Vladimir Zagatsky, Jeff Jones, John Cotrufo, Vadim Ryvkin.

The Concert was held Sunday - June 7th, 2009 - 3:00 PM at Saint Ann Chapel - 541 Melville Avenue - Palo Alto, CA 94301.

After an Intermission a concert of Russian Romantics composed by Maestro Smirnov was performed.

All to honor Maestro Smirnov and celebrate his 60th Birthday, his 40th Anniversary of  becoming a Composer, Arranger, Conductor and Teacher and his 12 years as Music Director and Vocal Instructor for Slavyanka Men’s Russian Chorus.
