        Mostly secular collection of Russian and 3 Georgian songs. Includes M. Mousorgsky's last compositions and the very widely-known "Song of the Volga Boatmen", and "Meadowlands". Director Gregory Smirnov.

      • Slavyanka in Concert Mission San Luis Obispo. Sonic Stew March, 1999

        Recorded live in Mission San Luis Obispo. A mix of sacred and secular songs including the the popular "Veniki", and "Priidye Spas' Dnes'" (with khoomei Tuvan-style overtone singing.) Director Gregory Smirnov.

      Shvedov CD
      • Konstantin Shvedov. Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom, Harmonia Mundi, 1994-98. Re-released September, 1999 on Dorian Recordings

        Shvedov, with Jaroff, was the primary arranger for the famed "Don Cossack" Chorus. He wrote this liturgy for male voice while living in New York in the 1930s. Never performed in his lifetime, Slavyanka had the honor of presenting the world premiere of this magnificent piece in San Francisco's Grace Cathedral. Director Alexei Shipovalnikov.

        Russian liturgical music from the 20th century back to the earliest period, from Stravinsky to Znameny chant. Superseded by Russian Church Music above. Director Paul Andrews.

      • Shipovalnikov. All-night Vigil (Vespers) Service

        Orthodox Vepers service for mixed chorus, including Slavyanka. Composed in 1984, by former Slavyanka Music Director Shipovalnikov while at Moscow State University, where he also directed a Moscow church choir. Conductor Alexei Shipovalnikov.
